God Bless Brooklyn
I want to know the politician who thought this was an acceptable way to spend our tax dollars....and then buy him a drink and ask if we can make another one saying, "Freegin-A! Come back!" and put it somewhere...
OH GOD I LOVE IT. i need to drive past that. now all they need is to market a new cleaning product called 'shmutz-off' or somethin. AND YOU GO WITH THE VOLUNTEERIN YO. you know something else i looked into the other day after helping with our young for unity (gen3) sportsweekend here? doin something down in new orleans to help families post-katrina. i was thinkin it would be a nice concrete YFU event...and we love road trips out there...as do you guys...maybe we could co-ordinate something like that between our zones? just throwin out the idea. 1!
It is in love and through the practice of love that one can better comprehend the things of heaven, and that God can more easily enlighten our souls.
"Dovete avere una grande fiducia nei giovani: sono il futuro del mondo! Sono fatti per grandi ideali, e sanno seguirli con radicalità. ... E’ l’ideale di un mondo unito che li affascina. Sono i giovani, i ragazzi ed anche i bambini che trasmettono questo ideale ai loro coetanei". - Chiara Lubich
There's so much of the world I'd like to see. The idea of taking a break from my studies and going on some sort of soul searching sabatical was the best thing I could have ever done. Last year, I packed my bags and headed for Italy. I hung around Rome for a bit, avoided gypsies in Roma Termini and eventually ended up on the outskirts of Florence, living in una piccola casetta with several other foreign roomies. After several months of new discoveries, la vita continua and I'm back in New York finishing up my degree in sociology.
You'll find random foreign words within my blog every now and then. Everything from Italian, Portuguese, maybe French and Spanish...Don't worry, your computer isn't busted. I just forget how to say things in english sometimes.
